Kevin, as a youth, loved many sports; beach volleyball, golf, tennis, swimming, hockey, Snowboarding. If you had asked him, as a child, what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, Kevin would have answered: SPORTS.
Unfortunately, life had other plans for Kevin. After being sidelined by a major injury, Kevin found himself venturing away from the physical aspect of sports and focusing more on the science surrounding the sport. During the recovery, Kevin discovered a fascinating fact, a fact about his body - a fact that you share - a fact that should be obvious to all of us; "THE BODY IS NOT INDUSTRUCTIBLE, IT WILL BREAK DOWN WITHOUT PROPER CARE!!!"
It is no big secret that we all need to take better care of our body. We need to keep it healthy. Kevin has one simple principle: “train the body for REAL LIFE” as a whole, as a functional unit. Kevin believes "we should train our entire self… to efficiently support us through various movements – [these] being; flexibility, compound movements, resistance training, and nutrition. This allows us to navigate through life more gracefully." In doing so, we allow ourselves us to participate in our favorite sports longer and better than before.
After finishing school for Human Kinetics (Science of Human Movement) at Langara College and the University of British Columbia, Kevin joined the team personal training team at the Steve Nash Fitness World. It was there that Kevin got the chance to share his knowledge with others, helping members overcome barriers and achieve their goals. In a short period of time, he became one of their most sought-after personal trainers.
Kevin recently achieved an Agatsu Kettlebell Certificate Level 1.
Kevin also currently reps an eco-friendly, Antioxidant juice - Mona Vie - which has been making headlines all over the world.
After growing tired of the bureaucracy of working for a corporate gym, Kevin has joined forces with Ben Newman's Pillars-of-Health. He has now devoted himself to share this knowledge and experience with everyone he meets, hoping that he can inspire them to bring health and fitness into their busy lifestyles.
