Kristina’s passion for sports and fitness came at a very early age. At 14 years old she taught herself how to road bike, weight train and swim. She began running 10km daily and entered herself into her first triathlon at age 16. She didn’t win but that didn’t stop her from learning, growing and becoming a smarter athlete. Every year Kristina gets older, the more fit she becomes, proving how powerful knowledge can be.
Kristina’s career in the industry began as a Massage Therapist in Whistler B.C. She moved to Vancouver and started Get Fit With Kris Personal Training in 2003.
Her experience in sports includes down hill mountain bike racing, trail racing, triathlons, snowboarding, swimming, skate skiing, snow shoeing, power yoga and 15 years of weight training experience.
Today Kristina competes in triathlon and road running. For effective cross training and to prevent injuries, she includes weight training 3 days a week and at least one weekly yoga session. Kristina adapts with the seasons; skate skiing and mountain biking in the off seasons which relieves mental and physical stress.
On average Kristina will train anywhere between 10 to 20 hours a week, on top of working full time. Kristina lives for sports and this is evident in everything she does.
Kristina’s mission as a trainer is to pass this intensity and dedication on to you. Her desire is to teach you her appreciation for a healthy fit body, so that in some way it becomes a part of you, staying with you for the rest of your life.
