Rachel was born and raised in Burnaby, BC. She first began competing in rhythmic gymnastics at the age of six, and by her second year she had placed second in the province. From there, she spent nine years competing nationally and internationally in rhythmic gymnastics while attending Magee Secondary. Her accomplishments include multiple Provincial Championship Gold medals, Western Regional Gold medals, and placing 11th at the National Championships.
Since her competition days, Rachel has gained over seven years of coaching experience- including the debut of the rhythmic gymnastics program in Burnaby for the Special Olympics. Her experiences have given her an extensive background in flexibility training and strength & conditioning as well as a unique understanding of the training required for aesthetic sports.
