Bradly Johns moved north from Rotorua in the Bay of Plenty to Auckland with his family when he was 8 years old. It was in Auckland that he developed his skills in a multitude of sports ranging from team sports like soccer, cricket and rugby to individual athletics such as tennis, badminton and squash. During the summer months Brad was the top player on his high school tennis team and his success in the yearly age group championships led to his being selected to train with a satellite squad that fed into the northern regional NZ team. In the winter season Brad played in the 1st XI soccer team until he was scouted for the 1st XV rugby team in Junior and Senior years. Brad's excellence in racquet sports also continued into the winter in the sport of Badminton where after being selected for various travelling rep teams he was picked to play for NZ for the June Bevan Trophy in Australia in 1997.
Brad graduated from the University of Auckland in 2003 with a degree in Product Design. After a few years in the field of Design he returned to his true passion of Sport and Fitness and completed a Diploma in Fitness Training. He move to Canada shortly after and has been personal training ever since. Brad is also a CASI Level 2 Snowboard Instructor and has his level 1 Coaching Certificate in Badminton and Soccer.
